Crating is included in the price of the canopy.
United States
Girth= (width x 2) + (height x 2) + length
If the girth is 165 inches or less, FedEx Ground will take it. Every time I have a chance to use FedEx Ground, I take it because of the low prices and excellent service.
If the girth is higher than 165 inches there are way better deals than FedEx Frieght. I use a few different trucking companies, depending on the destination. The trucking companies do not like to deliver to a residential address. We either need to supply them with a business address or they will hold the crate at the closest loading dock and call you so you can pick it up.
I'll send the crate freight collect so you don't have to pay me for the shipping.
Canada
The least expensive way for me to ship a canopy to Canada is to not really ship it to Canada. Sounds interesting, A? Many times I've shipped the crate to a loading dock or shipping center on the US side of the border. The customer would then pick it up and bring it over the border themselves.
Lets say you live too far from the border or just don't want to do this. If I send it by truck, brokers and everyone has their hand out for money so the shipping will get very expensive. It's usually cheaper to send a crate to Canada by air. This way your crate is 35,000 ft. above all those brokers at the border. BAX Global includes the brokerage when you ship with them.
If you are willing to pick the crate up at an international airport, you will save money. If you want the crate delivered to your door, plan on parting with a lot of Canadian dollars.
Overseas
I've found BAX Global Inc. to have the best prices for overseas shipping by air. With them I'm able to send a crate frieght collect.
Sending a crate by sea is surprisingly fast and inexpensive to some countries. I use 4-Seas shipping. If you would like to contact this company email Yasmin. Her email address is: yasmin@4-seas.com
If you want me to use another shipper, I will.
